Should You Board Your Pets?

Grandma Susan (425) 503-1192

Why Hire Me?

What is a Grandma?  A Grandma is a remarkable woman.  She is the wonderful combination of warmth and kindness, laughter and love. She brings you a special gift of unconditional love, and leaves you with peace in your heart. She is all things all things dear and precious in life, especially when she is a grandmother to you.

Your pets deserve a Grandma too.

My name is Susan Poole.  I am also known as Grandma Susan, with 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and countless grand dogs and grand kitties and many other fur-babies.

I am a semi-retired Grandmother, living in Bellevue, Washington. During the school times, I temporarily am working as a lunch lady for 3.75 hours a day.  As well as my grandchildren, I thrive on the companionship of animals and the unconditional love we share.

During the school year, I prefer to focus my service on the Eastside of Seattle; however, during non-school times I am excited to explore other places.

As any pet guardian knows, finding reliable care for your beloved pets can be your most stressful mission. With an abundance of options available, sometimes they can seem overwhelming.  Your best option is in-home pet care.  I would like you to consider me as your in home "critter sitter" because:

1.  I stay in your home.  Neighbors or friends will only come to your home for 15 minutes to give your pets a potty break and make sure they have food and water. When they leave, they leave your pets to fend for themselves when it comes seeking to attention and entertainment; and all alone, wondering when their guardian will return to them.

You and your pets benefit by the consistency of having the same pet-loving caregiver in your home. This reduces the stress and anxiety that’s inevitable from having random people, some with whom you may have trustworthy issues, or who are unfamiliar with your pet’s routine come to your home; or your pet having to stay in someone's home or a business's kennel.•Your pets get to remain in their own comfortable and familiar environment. Ask any cat and they will tell you, traveling in a car is nerve-wracking. They would much prefer to stay where their creature comforts are.

2.  Your pets get one-on-one care from an experienced pet caregiver.  They do not need to compete for attention over other animals and they get all the kisses and belly rubs they can handle!.  Your fur-babies will be talked to, given massages, played with, petted, exercised, brushed (if they like it), and loved as much as you do.3.  Consistency and Caring.  In a kennel it is difficult to determine whether or not your dog is receiving the exercise they need. When I report they received 30 minutes of exercise, you can be sure they were moving for half an hour (they’re not just left in a boarding cage to be taken out twice a day for a quick potty break).

Viruses can be rampant when a bunch of pups get together and hang out in a boarding place. If one gets a respiratory infection, the whole kennel has a chance of getting it, and likely will.  (And there goes another vet bill.)  When they stay in the comfort of their own home this is not likely to happen.

4.  Special Needs "specialist".   Through Divine Choice, I have been privileged to be selected for more than the usual number of Special Needs and Older pets.  Thus, I have become experienced in this area.  I can give diabetic shots, distribute medications as required, see that their physical therapy requirements are fulfilled, and handle special methods of feeding.

5.  In Home Protection.  Your home will have an extra layer of protection while you are away.  While in your home, I will care for it as if it were my own, watching it, as well as your pets. Your home will show signs of life and activity. I also do the day to day activities like bringing in the mail, watering house plants, and putting the garbage out at no additional charge.  Lights go on and off at the intervals they do when a home is occupied.  You will return to a clean and welcoming home.
6.  It is more economical than boarding, especially for those of you with more than one pet.  With me, the first 3 animals cost the same.  (Additional animals at a small increase per animal)/   It’s the best of all worlds, better care for your pets, a safer home and saving money!

7.  I’m an experienced house and pet sitter who will make caring for your home and pets my number one priority.  With nearly 20 years experience, I can provide many references.
